Flu vaccination
Vaccination against influenza (flu vaccination) is recommended for all age groups in Baden-Württemberg within the scope of approval. The costs for the influenza vaccination are covered by the statutory health insurance funds in Baden-Württemberg. According to the current recommendations of the Standing Committee on Vaccination (STIKO), the influenza vaccination can be given simultaneously with the COVID-19 vaccines from BioNTech/Pfizer, Moderna, Novavax and Johnson & Johnson.
COVID-19 vaccinations by age groups
The table below shows the vaccines by age group. It is pointed out that most vaccination sites carry out vaccinations according to the recommendation by the Standing Committee on Vaccination (STIKO). The STIKO recommends a fourth vaccination from the age of 60 and for people with special risks. A fifth vaccination only may only be advisable for people at high risk. The current STIKO recommendations also include the new variant-adaped vaccines.
